Let's Get Acquainted
All of my life I have chronicled my experiences through writing. My oldest diary dates back to 1990 when I was in elementary school and talks about the angry, fun and confusing world of an 80s baby. My problems were real 9 year-old issues and they sometimes consumed me. As I grew up I continued to write about break-ups, friendships, and exciting happenings. But, I stopped writing as often when I became a mom. As a matter of fact, I went years without telling my journal about my life...and you know what? I lost out on a piece of me that I never realized was so important.
So this blog came out of my realization that it is so important to tell my story. My story, and indeed your story is unique. No one else has the amazing job of being you. So embrace it, share it, love it! I am a wife and a mother of three (two teenage girls and an energetic little boy) who is starting to love her life again. Don't get me wrong, I love my husband, children, friends and family, but I wasn't loving my life. One day, recently I decided to get back to doing just that. By writing, by sharing and by moving into this next journey. Being a mom doesn't change our dreams, it only helps to sharpen the lens by which we see them. It is my wish that this blog helps you to embrace the badass in you. Because she has a voice and she has a contribution that goes beyond what she can do for her kids and her family.
